Personally, having used one then the other extensively I prefer DarkUId DarN myself, but not by a great deal, both are excellent versions of the same UI.Дo you not think it *might* be user error or a corrupted download of the OMOD (you *did* use the OMOD and not manual install, right?) rather than the mod being a POS? Regardless, I've already told you, try BT Mod, that's the other one that tends to come up if you look for a UI mod for Oblivion, but I've not personally used it as I tested DarNified first and decided to stick with it There's also DarkUI, but the non-DarN version is listed by the mod author as outdated and probably not stable, and superceded by the DarkUId DarN I think this is a standalone mod, so you wouldn't have to re-install DarNified, but I think I did try to install this at one point and had some sort of trouble with it, can't remember what, think it basically just wouldn't install.Which one is better? And which one do you like. Which is better? Not much difference really.ДarkUId DarN is basically DarNified UI 1.3.2 (the latest) with the addition of to quote 'DarkUI version 2.40. It also contains Darkbirdy's DarkUI Loading Screens, and the Shivering Isles DarkUI Loading Screens by HTF. This also fixes tiling issues with the textures in the map and inventory screens, as thanks to the amazing work of Brumbek and Belinda.' It also includes a DarkUI-ified Main Menu Video and Map-Scroll Video by Fritzdog. So basically a few additions and a couple of minor tweaks, but not enough to make it count as an updated version or give it a serious edge. For example, Darnified UI 132 (.7z version) doesn't use an esp file, as it's intended to be used as a replacer. So it is really just a matter of personal preference. Then there are body replacers like Robert's Male Body and HGEC.

esp files, they're not nessecarily needed, and it's also recommended that the. esp files not be used alongside Oblivion Character Overhaul v2 to. For me it took a little getting used to but quickly became comfortable (My Morrowind UI is now 'Dark' as well ).

I do use DarkUid DarN, before it was DarNified UI 1.3.2. Have the impression DarkUid DarN is better somehow, just subtle.
